asheville elopement at the sinclair

It is not the easiest task to tie the knot during a global pandemic but it can be done. In fact some of the intimate elopements that we have had the pleasure of documenting during this time have been some of our all time faves. One such elopement was the day that Emily and Ian were wed at The Sinclair in Downtown Asheville.

Eloping in downtown Asheville is an incredibly romantic and special experience. Our city has an abundance of beautiful buildings, breathtaking views, and traditional landmarks that make it the perfect backdrop for your elopement or wedding day.

This  elopement was very small and intimate–only immediate family members were invited. Afterwards, we got to stroll around a quiet part of downtown Asheville and capture some photographs of the newlyweds enjoying each other’s company in the hour after their loving union.

Emily and Ian are both hat designers and milliners, so there were plenty of beautiful hats around and Ian wore one that Emily designed during our shoot. To go along with it, Ian had a custom made velvet jumpsuit to complement the stunning custom dress that Emily adorned.

Despite the restrictions due to the pandemic, this couple still managed to have a beautiful wedding day that was meaningful and special to them. This elopement goes to show that you dont need a big ceremony to have an unforgettable wedding day. Emily and Ians elopement was a testament to the power of love and commitment, and it was an honor to document it.
