It was a sunny day with a smattering of clouds on the day we documented the intimate wedding of Brianna and Tim at the Buck Springs Lodge overlook off of the Blue Ridge Parkway via Asheville, North carolina. The late spring heatwave of the previous week had given way to a very temperate afternoon and the forecast was favorable for an outdoor wedding for the first time for us this season.
After an emotion filled first look in front of the moss covered stone foundation of the old Buck Springs Lodge, the happy couple walked out of the trees and strolled up to the overlook to the sound of Here Comes the Sun played on Ukulele by their officiant, Brianna’s brother. A small but cherished group of their friends and family watched the two lovingly exchange their vows in front of a backdrop of the lush and rolling Blue Ridge Mountains.
After the service, the wedding party and guests drove back to enjoy a reception at the always enchanting event center at Rhubarb in downtown Asheville. The newlyweds and their friends and family enjoyed a sumptuous dinner and drinks around a single table as they reminisced and celebrated well into the evening.
