blue ridge mountain wedding

Katie and Nathan were married on top of a private mountain bald in the Blue Ridge Mountains during the waning days of June. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings, and the responsible and caring nature of the soon-to-be betrothed, the pair opted for a very small family gathering in lieu of the large wedding they had originally been planning. Fortunately, just up the road from the house where the reception would be held, resides a gorgeous mountain bald with breathtaking panoramic views that is privately owned by a family friend–Talk about luck!

The intimate ceremony had all of the feels of a Blue Ridge Mountain Wedding. In fact on either side of bald you could see Pisgah Mountain and Cold Mountain in all their glory. The emotions flowed freely as the pair exchanged vows that they had written themselves. It was a very touching few minutes. Afterwards, we made our way down the mountain to Nathan’s parent’s house where a small backyard wedding dinner and celebration was held. It was smiles, laughter, dancing, and sparklers all around as the family celebrated the new union.
