This intimate engagement session was one of our all time favorites! Alex and Sasha were in town visiting family from New York for the holidays and met us on the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina for fun, adventure, and a little romance. Alex and Sasha are both accomplished writers and they really let their creative spirits shine during our time with them. They both have infectious personalities and we couldn’t help but smile and laugh along with them.
One of the best parts of this session was the variance of settings for photographs. We began the session moving between mountain vistas and rhododendron laden forest settings as Sasha kept everyone laughing with his writer’s wit. From there we made our way to a grassy field in the shadow of one of the Blue Ridge’s many imposing mountains.
As the sun bid its farewell behind the mountains, its final salvo made one feel as though the very mountains were on fire as the dreamy couple expressed their love in a way unique to only them. We ended the session with a little bit of fun flash photography of the two as the fiery orange of the sunset settled into a deep crimson red.
